Crazy game. What was it doing?
then the very nice exchange sac on move 27 and it gradually became clear. Black could hardly move.

Stared at 44 Rf4 for a while thinking why can't black just take on d4?

Black just had no moves. Very nice.

h4 h5 h6 it likes that a lot,

I couldn't understand the ending. A win? How? Two pawns down or something? Madness.

Thorsten, there's a game against Zappa Mexico you sent me in an earlier batch, Tal was white I think. Ending with KRBPPP vs KRNPPPP, pawn down ending. It won. How? I'ld seen the result, and couldn't imagine how Tal wins. Draw at best, most people would think.
Well, here's how, you sacrifice first the bishop then the rook and play K against KRN and win. Unbelievable!

Yes its magic.

Its IMO terrible that the rating guys only add the points intoa 4 number digit without looking into the games.

There you go. Logistics win wars - but books about the logistics of historical wars soon go out of print. On the other hand, films about the wars with a protagonist we can root for who's saving the day by carrying out recklessly brave deeds and who romantically wins the girl in the end sell every seat in the theatre! Very Happy

a good result, although the majority of engines in this tournament should no longer be competitive with Rebel Tal5, the number of games is insufficient in my opinion, currently I am testing Tal5, whereby it is important for the assessment that here all Rebel and LG run with 1 thread, all others with 2 threads, however, these are only informal tests for me, nothing more

Why do the others run with 2 threads ???

Or do you mean while all other engines run with 2, in this test rebel and opponent with 1 thread.

Yes rebel is limited to 1 thread. But this also helps on big machines. You can do many tournaments on ONE machine.

because this has been my setting to Arena since the beginning, I have played many thousands of games with this setting. Originally this was to give Lc0 on CPU a chance as well, because it was still very weak. For me this is just an informal test where I can roughly assess how strong new engines are and which test opponents I should use for official tests. For my CEGT tests I use a current notebook from HP and all Engines with 1CPU.

This is sexistical. Girls are clever enough to kill us in chess or any other topic.
Ever heard of marie curie or lou andreas salome or bertha von suttner or camille claudel or petra kelly or ulrike meinhof or jutta Ditfurth?!

Rosa luxemburg?!

If you put girls on a pedestal as something to be worshipped and admired, you won't be successful with them because they'll think you're not worthy of them: this is one of the things that the "bad boys" get right while the "good guys" get it wrong! Sad

Those women are dead. And they are mostly part of womens liberation.
Lou andreas salome e.g. was in between

Rainer maria rilke
Nietzsche
Freud

Snd she gave all 3 mothersons a kick in the ass an married somebody else.

The 3 were the most important germans/austrians at that time.

She was a real femme fatale like i love it.
I have a faible for intelligent women.
But i would never put them down or make sexistic jokes.
I want the end of patriarchat.

On my end with Arena everything runs okay, maybe you can contribute 1) the version you are using and 2) a position example in fen / epd or pgn format.

I'm using 3.5.1 arena windows and I've tried the 1,2,5,10 minute nets all the same crash. Don't know how similar they are but I have a ssse stockfish that works fine.

I was using this pgn from chess.com at the time but analyzing with anything crashes the engine
