I got an invitation from the TCEC guys but participation requires a Linux version. Need to think of that.

Would it be worth someone testing it under something like Wine?

They (the TCEC guys) tried Rebel under WINE but the engine refused to work properly under cute-chess-cli, the interface they use. Not a real surprise.

Too bad, I only test with cutechess, but the version with GUI, whereas cutechess-cli version is a challenge and needs some experience.
Ed, are you aware that the ICGA World Championship is taking place in Vienna in mid-June? I know that at least Wasp, Goliath, Ginkgo NN will participate. Would this be interesting for you ?

I do think they are using the command line version and catch the info from the screen in debug mode.
But do you run on Linux?

Since 2011 I don't want to have anything to do with that organization ruining the career and livelihood of a programmer.

Android and Chrome OS are both based on Linux, and they're both successful. Wear OS is a version of Android - so you may have Linux running on your wrist!
When it comes to Linux distros, it's disappointing that they haven't increased market share in the PC and laptop market over the long term.
Just upgraded my laptop to Windows 11. Nice experience in general, but don't like the way it tries to force things on you that you haven't chosen.
Hoping that Google's Fuchsia will be good when they eventually release it (it is used in the current version of the Nest Hub).
