From futures market prices, it looks as though prices (hence problems) are going to peak in January. We should do everything we can to minimise Putin's ability to influence our decisions through fuel blackmail in the coming months especially. Over the long term, we need our dependence of Putin to be on a long term downward trend. Anything that can help with that should be looked at.
