I think that, in the long term, sunny countries will be the ones doing the most solar generation.

Yes, turkey, spain, italy, greece, france… They all could generate lots of solar energy. If they would wish to do so. Its a matter of will.

What happens in winter when there is little to no sun and the wind is not blowing?
I see a business opportunity selling firewood to Germans.

Germany increases green energy although many conservative forces / parties in Germany fight against government.
If this continues in the amount germany will soon be completely independent and based on wind and solar.
Germany also fights with green party to reduce car traffic by limiting speed allover toens to 30 km/h and even 20 is now in discussion. Cars are vehicel of past. Ebike snd escooter is in.
CDU/CSU , FW, AFD, BSW, FDP , a conservative front of parties call for destroying green party as the biggest enemy.
Memorize: Green Party is pro israel and pro usa.
While those parties are mainly against nato, against usa, against EU and against israel.

Deutschland hat im vergangenen Jahr nach vorläufigen Berechnungen der Organisation Agora Energiewende so wenig Treibhausgase produziert wie seit sieben Jahrzehnten nicht mehr. Demnach ist der CO₂-Ausstoß gegenüber 2022 um 73 Millionen Tonnen auf insgesamt 673 Millionen Tonnen gesunken – was einem Rückgang von 46 Prozent im Vergleich zu 1990 entspreche. Das geht aus einer Studie mit dem Titel »Die Energiewende in Deutschland: Stand der Dinge 2023« hervor, die an diesem Donnerstag in Berlin vorgestellt wird und der Nachrichtenagentur dpa vorab vorlag.
»Die Emissionen haben 2023 den tiefsten Stand seit den Fünfzigerjahren erreicht. Gleichzeitig handelt es sich um den größten Rückgang von Jahr zu Jahr in diesem Zeitraum«, sagte der Deutschland-Direktor von Agora, Simon Müller. Für die Zeit vor der Wiedervereinigung haben die Autoren Daten zum Ausstoß an Treibhausgasen aus der Bundesrepublik und der DDR zusammengerechnet.
