Rebel in my FACE -Tournaments

many many years ago my first chess computer was Mephisto MM IV
since this time i am a big fan of Ed Schroeder

now after i had retired with my long time hobby - playing engine-engine tournaments
i saw the rise of the Rebel with NN technology.

therefore i reactivate my tournaments

You also seem to know very well which version of Lc0 on CPU (onednn) and which network is currently the strongest, the correct configuration for onednn is m.E. extremely difficult and requires a special lc0.config so that Lc0 does not use more cores than intended.

Your machine seems to be up to date as the onednn variant of Lc0 requires an avx512 capable machine, on avx2 onednn is runnable but much slower than dnnl.

under Arena i use Lc0 as UCI and got a config window, changed some default settings - i dont have a lc0.config file.
I only look at manuals when things are not working ... may be i missed something - cpu usage of Lc0 is indeed very high.
Lc0 0.30 is a dev version ... may be you are right ... it could be it shows 1 Thread but it really dont.
When having more time maybe i will look closer

Dio - you are right it takes all cpus, also when you say in taskmanager take only one. So you need that config file.
i will take that Engine out of tournament.

I’m still doing rewrite of the time controller. Got it to about 2 percentage points better above the prior. Hopefully done by tomorrow.
Ponder should be done. Ed is testing it.
The -M124 thing, I can’t repeat, but will keep hunting.
