E.g. in computerchess the GDR dedicated chess computers were stolen technology from fidelity. First they stole Ron Nelson and later Spracklen software on cloned western hardware. But they had no own developed hardware or siftware. They stole both.

China also clones western technology in always any area. Computers, cpus. Cars, ….
