invitation to a new tournament deterministic no opening book Empty
PostSubject: invitation to a new tournament deterministic no opening book   invitation to a new tournament deterministic no opening book EmptyTue Feb 20, 2024 6:47 am

Engines that are allowed to participate are only deterministic engines with no opening book.

Every new participant play against all other engines with no book with white and black.

Condition to join are the following:

1)The engine is free
2)Doing better against the rest at least against at least one opponent.
3)Games are reproducable.
4)time per move is less than 10 seconds per move with my computer

I use 2048 mbytes hash for all engines and to make things simple no tablebases.

Engines that particpate so far are:
1) stockfish developement version from 14.2.2024 with 100k nodes per move.

You can download it here.
https://abrok.eu/stockfish/

Author: Disservin
Date: Wed Feb 14 21:39:31 2024 +0100
Timestamp: 1707943171

2)Berserk12 5000k nodes per move

could beat the first player with the white pieces and draw against it with the black pieces.

3)Stockfish15 3000k nodes per move
could beat the first player with the black pieces and draw against it with the white pieces.

Rubichess contempt 50 50,000k nodes per move could beat stockfish15 3000k nodes per move but 50,000 nodes is too slow and take more than 10 seconds per move
I wonder if you can suggest something faster that is not stockfish or berserk to beat opponents 2 or 3.

Rubichess 100M nodes per move contempt50 seem to be best so far and I doubt if stockfish developement version that does not use contempt can get these good results even with 300M nodes per move.

It won 2-0 against berserk 5M nodes per move and won 1.5-0.5 against stockfish 3M

developement version also could beat stockfish15 3M with white when I gave it 100M nodes per move.

The only engine so far to beat stockfish15 3M with black is stockfish15 10M

Here is the game
https://lichess.org/qbQUUYHG#139

A tournament with all the engines have the following result after 12 games when I plan to add engines:
next engine to be added stockfish15 30M and later I will add non stockfish engines.

1)Stockfish15 10M 10.5
2-3)Stockfish15 3M,Stockfish15 300k 8
4)Stockfish15 1M 7.5
5)stockfish15 100k 5
6)Stockfish15 30k 2
7)Stockfish15 10k 1

Here is the surprising loss of the developement version
Itblundered by 25.Nf5 that is a tactical mistake that it does not do with clear hash but stockfish15 does with clear hash

stockfish16.1 with 30M nodes per move's results.
It could not get first place but at least did better than stockfish15 30M

I played with it against all engines in the tournament except 100k or less and it drew all matches except single 2-0 result against stockfish15 300k
lt won all the other games except one draw against stockfish15 30k

PostSubject: Re: invitation to a new tournament deterministic no opening book   invitation to a new tournament deterministic no opening book EmptyFri Mar 01, 2024 8:07 am

adding some games of stockfish15 100M to my tournament.

It could win twice stockfish15 10k and stockfish 16.1 10k but could only get 1.5 out of 2 against stockfish 15 30k and stockfish16.1 30k

I wonder if there is something that can get 1920-0 result in FRC against stockfish15 30k and the same for old programs with a similiar rating.

1920 because there are 960 FRC positions and I assume playing everyone of them with white and black.

Here is the game when stockfish15 failed to win with black inspite of the fact that 100M are more than 1000 times more than 30k
I wonder if other engines with enough nodes can always beat stockfish15 30k.

What is Stockfish Dev 17.2?
The current release is 16.1 and the other beta versions are not numbered in this manner

It is the last stockfish developement version from 17.2.2024 that is practically identical to stockfish16.1 because no functional changes from 17.2.2024 to stockfish16.1
