The New Frontier: Fresh and Unknown CC Masterpieces Empty
PostSubject: The New Frontier: Fresh and Unknown CC Masterpieces   The New Frontier: Fresh and Unknown CC Masterpieces EmptyFri Dec 18, 2020 5:46 am

I've been meaning to create a new thread where we can post interesting and well-played engine games, preferably annotated (by humans), so the readers can both enjoy and be edified and stimulated by what's presented to them.

To get the board (uh, I mean ball   Basketball ) rolling, I'm posting a diagram from a very recent game. Please try to come up with a good move for Black on your own. Smile

[fen] 1r1qn1k1/1r1n1p1p/p2p2p1/2pP2P1/3bP3/2N5/RPQBBP1P/5RK1 b - - 0 22 [/fen]

Not sure fen diagrams can be posted here so I'll try to post a board capture image.

The New Frontier: Fresh and Unknown CC Masterpieces Black-10

I will post the full game just a little later.

The position comes a very recent game between Thinker, a strong and aggressive player in its own right, and the private strategic engine SultanKhan 2.0, inspired by and modeled after the very talented Indian player from the 1930s. I wanted to show how a smart engine can play the Benoni very enterprisingly and successfully, which is a very rare sight in computer chess.

Hope you've thoroughly enjoyed today's presentation.  Smile

For some reason the pgn display is buggy, resulting in an error. I'm sharing the game at the link below.

I discovered that the pgn4web display was only buggy because of some extra characters in the pgn, which I then deleted.
