I want to offer a special thanks to Ed and Chris for the new Rebel and CS-Tal engines. One more Stockfish clone that someone stabbed with a screwdriver tweak we don't need. Having engines with a different search and different ideas is a breath of fresh air for computer chess enthusiasts. And the engines are free.
I wish I could award both of them a medal.

Ed and chris, two old pioneers of the old days, have shown that computerchess and they are alive, vivid and kicking. I wish all pensioners would be as succesful and enjoying life and victory.

Right. What Chris and Ed have done is amazing. Even proving that they can keep up with all the new engines and tech and so on.
And keeping the fine balance between playing strength and style in the process!
Imagine a dream scenario where the minds behind Gandalf, MChess, Fritz (Morsch), Junior, Phalanx (seriously, this was a great engine!) etc did the same thing and started testing NNUEs?
