Engine played Be2 here. I guess, if this were normal Alekhine, I'ld be choosing between Nc6, e6, g6, xe5. xe5 is premature, I prefer he takes on e6. I never did like g6 here. e6 is possible but I prefer to stick to the Alekhine temptation theme of getting him to push with c4, and play Nc6.
Probably that's what I'll do.
No kibitzing btw on moves still to be played

Nc6
Engine couldn’t resist and played c4 ... Nb6
Often in these lines, white plays a4, threatening a5 to chase the Nb6. Black responds with a5, but this has the effect of weakening b5 for the white knight (with annoyance on c7), but white doesn’t have the Nb1-c3-b5 to do this.

At first I was shocked by white playing e6, but having done some analysis, I think black will be OK.
I won't make further comments for now because the game is in progress.
fxe6 was pretty much forced g6 going to have to develop the B, so let's get on with it a5 don't want to allow a4, nothing much has changed after a4 a5 (see prior comment on this theme), so if engine didn't have anything beforehand, no reason it has anything more after (except R-lift, but we'll worry about that later, if at all), in fact it may be helpful, since white now has removed Qa4, possible future check and fork against Nc4 if black ever gets to play Nxc4.

Thoughts on game so far Well a4 a5 happened and there was the rook lift. g6, Bg7, O-O was okay, Dragon f4-f5 attack left a big hole for the knight on e5. Very strong knight, and it can be backed up with the other knight-d7. It back protects g6, supports c6, prevents Qg4 and Rf3. Monster knight. White has a problem playing fxg6 because exchange on f-file turns the f5 pawn more into a liability than an attack piece. After Rg3, black queen wants to get itself to a light square. Qe8 defends g6, supports c6, threatens a4 and has an eye on h5.
18. b3 gives confidence because Dragon decides to shore up his q-side, more or less confirming he sees nothing on the k-side.
c6 is then the obvious break Rf2 is to try and play fxg6 and then gxh7+ without having to face Rxf1+ inbetween. Dragon likes presumably to have pawn-h7, but it will essentially be a good defensive pawn for black king to hide behind.
After e6, fxg6, I’m expecting an exchange and a big centre based on the knights and cde pawns. We shall see ..

I have no doubt that chris will win, he is a good chess player and as a chess programmer he maybe knows weaknesses of chess engines, E.g. connected passed pawns are difficult to evaluate for chess engines.

The game has finished, and Chris won.
Komodo started down on material, and then sacrificed even more material for an attack. However, Chris made no serious mistakes, and the attack failed to yield enough compensation for the lack of material. Also, as you said, the passed pawns would have forced the loss of even more material had Komodo not resigned.
