Polyglot book in Arena

Hi,

Can someone explain to me how I can have an engine use a Polyglot openingbook in Arena?
Other question: are there other GUI's that allow the use of Polyglot books?

2. Engines that don't support Polyglot books still can play from it as Fabien's Polyglot util supports it, do as follows, create an polyglot.ini file with the following information:

[PolyGlot]
EngineDir = .
EngineCommand = sf10.exe
Book = true
BookFile = ProDeo.bin
[Engine]
Hash = 128
Threads = 1

In Arena install a new engine called sf10 but with as executable polyglot.exe [!] and Stockfish 10 will play from the ProDeo book. Ain't life beautiful at times?

Is it possible to use polyglot books with Chess-System-Tal-2.00-v21 this way?
If yes, could you please explain required steps?

Works for every engine, as described in post #2

Doesn't seem to work. When I run polyglot.exe or install a new engine in Arena 3.5.1 using the polyglot.exe, no ini file is created. When I create it myself and add the Stockfish executable in the ini file, the engine won't run in Arena.

What am I doing wrong?


UPDATE: it does work! I forgot to specify the path where the engine executable is.
