I am beginning to understand the temptation to cheat.
The report adds nothing new. We already knew Hans “cheated” online and that there was zero evidence he cheated OTB.
I am beginning to believe more and more my long held view that when a “community” gets itself all worked up over some misdemeanour or other allegedly committed by one person, it’s because the misdemeanour is actually rampant in the community and done by practically everybody. Eg, looking at another computer in online games, copying other peoples’ code, using “illegally obtained” executables.

It is sad, but this was all about some kind of revenge, and the cheating OTB accusation was nothing more then a means to a end. As GM Carlsen knew of the online cheating. That was very public knowledge.
What if GM Carlsen won or drew his game with GM Hans Niemann.
1. What chance is there that GM Carlsen quits the 2022 Sinquefield Cup after winning against GM Hans Niemann? 0% Chance. 2. What chance is there that GM Carlsen quits the 2022 Sinquefield Cup after drawing against GM Hans Niemann? 0% Chance. 3. What chance is there that GM Carlsen accuses GM Hans Niemann of cheating after winning against GM Hans Niemann? 0% Chance. 4. What chance is there that GM Carlsen accuses GM Hans Niemann of cheating after drawing against GM Hans Niemann? 0% Chance.
5. What chance is there that the other players play GM Hans Niemann. if they know GM Hans Niemann is cheating OTB after GM Carlsen quits the 2022 Sinquefield Cup? 0% Chance.
