Let me say some words about the Chess Challenger 10c.

The case of the 10c and the keys are different then the 10A and the 10B.

It seems Fidelity reused old chess challenger 3 units.
They had different case and CPU. And the C version has no loudspeaker while the A and B have Loudspeakers.

Ron Nelson normally runs z80 cpu. While the Spracklen used 6502 and permanent brain.
In the 10c is a 8088 cpu like in the first ibm XT machines.

It seems they reused old machines, put the new software in the challenger 3 cases.
The A version of the 10 rarely castles.
The B and C version do castle.

B has the usual z80 cpu with 4 mhz and 4 KB rom.
C version has 8088 cpu with 2 mhz and 8 KB rom.

So the first game was a clear win of Mike Johnson’s engine.
