I can explain why the situation in germany is „suboptimal“.
We have no government l
We have
Spd FdP and green party doing coalition negotiations.
And we have the cdu/spd government doing business as usual until the 3 new parties take over.


We have a lame duck government,
Merkel says good bye after 16 years government.
CDU is not in opposition due to latest elections.

I told you BEFORE this will happen.
It was definitely clear to see for anybody with eyes.
Germans decided for GREEN PARTY.
We want a change.
Of course there is a minority of right wing who still wants to continue driving diesel or high PS monsters or SUVs or doing: business as usual. But the majority wants a change.

And our new chancellor has no power so far.

Similar with all the ministries.
The old minsters have to go. The new ministers are not yet chosen.

So germany is in the moment in nomansland.

Of course we will soon have a working government but in the moment we have NOTHING.

They started with booster vaccinations about two days ago in the Netherlands. As always far too late.
Maybe I get next one in februari.

In the Netherlands they won't close schools. So will be a fake lockdown. The more fake the longer it lasts. Have a nice winter.

There is a new more aggressive variation on the way from south Africa.
It had 12-13 modifications and vaccine will not help anymore. It has the potential to win the game. How good our planes and tourism via planes still help to transport the virus efficiently into the whole world.

It will take some time for it will be here. From lockdown to lockdown.

I don't think there's enough pessimism here: let's just say we're all going to die horribly in the next few weeks!  

If there's a new strain which can evade immunity, it will be instructive to keep an eye of Israel: they've done a really good job  of getting immunity to Covid - so if the infection rate starts rising again there, we'll then know that we've got a problem. Right now, the infection rate in Israel is impressively low.

O wait new variation already in Europe. Only some weeks to go.

It's a tribute to the science that we already know so much about this variant. It will be 8 weeks before we have answers to questions like how well it evades vaccination immunity. Meanwhile, I will be watching the Israeli infection rate to see what's going on there, because they have the best immunity right now.

No. Wrong. It has been found now in Belgium. Not far from Germany or Netherlands.
These planes are the reason these viruses spread so fantastically fast.
One passenger from belgish kongo or whater colonial background and you have it in your country.

IMO in the game against Corona Virus humanity is behind a knight or bishop.

Let's be clear: Covid is a serious healthcare issue: however, for some of the contributors to this page, their own pessimism is a threat to their own health and happiness which is an order of magnitude greater.

As well as positivity, a strong purpose is also helpful: driven people barely notice the niggles and worries that afflict the masses.

When's the last time Europe had a plague problem? The solution to pandemics is medical technology - not destruction of transport technology. Medical technology has advanced so quickly recently that I seriously believe that we're witnessing the last pandemic in history.

Did you demand that Rampatrouille (link) be taken off TV because it depicted people spreading infections over vast distances?
