Booster vaccin only protects 70% against Omnicron. And after three months about 30-40%.
Per previously linked article in this thread, if you get a Covid infection that breaks through a vaccination, you then get "super immunity" (a lot more antibodies than someone who has had either an infection or a vaccination alone). If you're VERY lucky, here's what will happen:
* you get a breakthrough infection
* because you're vaccinated, the infection will only be mild
* this breakthrough infection leaves you with super-immunity going forward!
I also saw an estimate that 1:15 had Covid in UK previous week. In the Netherlands we reached an all time high yesterday while in lock down. Problem is nobody is taking measures serious anymore. All fed up.

I have to include myself in that category: I was in a supermarket last week, and until I got to the checkout, I completely forgot that I was supposed to be wearing a mask!
In most cases, though, a negative thing has a positive side: when Covid started, gas masks were unavailable. Now, because people have stopped taking Covid seriously, they are cheap and plentiful - link.
Remember: always be positive! You're 31% more likely to come up with a better answer in a positive state of mind (link).
Today's UK infection number is an all-time high - 106,122. The previous peak was the 17th December with 92,500.
Another new all-time high today: 119,789
Today's infection number 122,186
For the first time since 24th Dec we have a number for the whole of Britain - and that number is 183,037 (this is less than France, which reported 208,000).
Still rising - 189,213 today.
Still rising: today's infection number is 189,846. Too soon to say for sure, but maybe levelling off?
Finally, we have complete numbers for the whole of Britain again - and that number has jumped to 218,724!
Today it's 194,747. A big number - but better than yesterday!
Today's number: 179,756
A nice decline - and looking distinctly like a downward trend!
Here you can see how the new wave begins before the delta wave reduced to ground. It builds upon the delta wave, and hell we dont know how high it will rise.

Today's number: 178,250 . To be honest, disappointing. Not much lower than yesterday.

Well there are no English subtitles on that video, so I don't know what was said, but let me provide some imagery of my own. It's all about seropositivity - the presence of antibodies to to the Coronavirus in the blood. When I checked (I think it was just before Christmas - you can look back through this thread and find the link), England had a seropositivity of over 95%. I have no doubt that it's even higher than that now.
Pestilence Island
Clean Lockdown Country
But don't let me get between yourself and your news media: anti-British stories have ALWAYS been popular in the French media: looks as though this pestilence has now spread to German readers. We know how this goes - we've seen it before. The last time England left Europe, the Reformation (link), it was around 60 years before Europe stopped trying to force us to rejoin.

No need to take any measures. In the end you get a natural lockdown. Organizations closing for not having enough employees not being ill to keep it running.

Britain probably the most immune country in the world: 98% seropositivity - link!
The article says exactly what I said earlier in the thread - that this is the likely reason that we can combine such high infection rates with such low death rates.
As I always say - it's better to be a positive person!

O wait it is not being ill but quarantaine that may cause shortage of emplyees. So maybe better partly abolish quarantaine.
In the Netherlands schools are starting tomorrow. Guess what will happen.
